Why review it carefully
The move-in inspection is the agreed record of the unit's condition when you arrived. Reviewing and signing it protects you from being blamed at move-out for damage that was already there.
How to respond
- Open the move-in inspection your landlord shared.
- Check each room's photos and notes against what you see.
- If something's inaccurate, dispute it and add your own photos as evidence before you sign.
