Keeping every rental expense in one place — tied to the right property — turns tax season from a shoebox of paper into a one-click export. The Expense Tracker also stores the receipt image with each expense, so you always have proof.
Scan a receipt (the fast way)
- Open Property Operations → Expense Tracker and click Scan / Add Expense.
- Tap Take a photo on your phone (or upload an image or PDF). The AI reads the vendor, date, total and a suggested category.
- Review the pre-filled details, choose the property, unit or tenant it applies to, and click Save. The receipt is attached automatically.
Apply to a property, unit or tenant
Every expense can be tagged to a whole property, a specific unit, or a tenant’s lease — including vacant units between tenancies. Use the filters on the list to see totals per property or category.
Export for your accountant
Filter by This tax year (or any date range) and click PDF or CSV. You get a clean report with the date, property, category, vendor and amount for every expense — ready to hand to your accountant.
If the AI can’t read a receipt
No problem — the receipt is still saved and attached, and you can type the details in by hand. Faded or crumpled receipts scan best when photographed flat in good light.
