Hey, everyone, it’s Paul J. Rouillard here from OLH Property Management. We’re organizing city-based live meetings and private landlord chat groups for owners affected by the SIREG and Simple Investor situation.
You can register right on our website, ontariolandlordhelp.ca. At the very bottom, click that link. It brings you to the page, and just below the header you can register for the individual city meetings and the chat groups, so landlords can communicate together. Just choose your city, submit your contact details, and we’ll notify you when your meeting date, time and live link are confirmed.
Please share the page with other affected landlords. There are a lot of landlords, a lot going on and a lot of confusion. We’re getting little bits of information from so many different angles right now, and it’s hard to know what is true, what is real and what we can do.
We’re also working with independent lawyers. We’ve retained a lawyer and paid out of our own pockets to make sure we get the legalities behind everything. We had a series of meetings today and we have more meetings with our lawyers tomorrow. They’re reviewing the agreements and explaining possible transitional options on an individual basis.

Our first meeting is Monday at 7 p.m., and it’s for all the London landlords. We’re going to have a series of other meetings, so sign up for your city meeting. Once enough owners in a city have signed up, we’ll release the dates and times for that city.
The meetings are open for landlords to talk. You can jump on video, or you don’t have to have your video on — you can stay silent. Landlords can say what they want to say, we can help, and other landlords who know details can share them. We’ll go back and forth, and by the end of each city meeting I think landlords are going to feel really great about the news. I have a really great update for a lot of landlords, so stay tuned, and we’ll talk to you in those meetings.

We are organizing owner meetings throughout the week, including Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Meeting times will be added as schedules are confirmed. Registering early helps us understand how many owners and units are affected in each city so we can organize the right meeting schedule and provide useful information.

How these meetings work
These are collaborative owner meetings. Participants can join by phone, use video if they choose, ask questions, share information, and discuss possible next steps with other owners. The purpose is to help owners understand the issues affecting their properties and learn from one another.
