Import your portfolio from Buildium (or CSV)

Bring owners, properties and your rent roll over from Buildium (or any system) with a guided CSV import that auto-maps the columns.

Import in three files

From Owners → Import you import three CSVs, in this order:

  1. Owners — your rental owners.
  2. Properties — properties & units (linked to the owners).
  3. Leases / rent roll — tenants and active leases (linked to properties & units).

Upload, map, preview, commit

  1. Choose the type and upload the CSV (export it from Buildium).
  2. The system auto-maps the columns for you; review the mapping and fix any column with a dropdown.
  3. Check the sample rows in the preview.
  4. Click Commit to import.

Safe to re-run

The import is idempotent — it matches on natural keys (owner name/company, property address, and so on), so re-importing an updated file updates existing records instead of creating duplicates.

Tip

Large files are easiest to upload from a computer. After importing the rent roll, review which tenants are current vs. moved out before turning on rent reminders.
